Interventions
The pieces studied and intervened are mostly made of silver and gold, gilded silver, and copper alloys. Some may have other materials, such as stones, polychromies, enamels and organic materials in their constitution or decoration.
The main objective of the interventions is to preserve the physical and aesthetic integrity of the pieces, which includes their study, and material and technical characterisation by resorting to tests and analyses leading to diagnosis and intervention.
All the documentation produced is a fundamental source of information for research on intervention methodologies as well as for the material, technological and typological study.
